Don’t cry Joni

“Don’t cry Joni” is the first English song which I listen when I began to study English. This song lyric has a meaningful story. The story told that the 15 year old girl like the boy next her door. He is 22 years old. Joni love Jimmy and she said that ” Jimmy, please wait for me”. However, Jimmy do not feedback Joni’s love, he thought that Joni was too young to love. Jimmy left his hometown to built his career and after that he realize that he love her. However, everything is too late, Joni got married with Jimmy’s best friend, John. This song’s meaning is that we should honor the person who next to us, love us. Don’t let everything which is too late, we cannot fix that. This song was recorded by the country music singer Conway Twitty in 1974 and it was released in 1975.

Music always plays an important role in movie. Especially, it helps the movie’s effect more better in some situation. Any movie has to have a topic song for the whole movie, the lyrics of sons contain the movie content. First of all, Titanic is a movie which I would like to mention. My heart will go on which is sang by Celine Dion has been famous since 1997. You raise me up in the Lion king is a song which I like best when I was a kid. This song was famous with Lion King in 1994. At that time, it was the most famous song which many people like. The lyric is very meaningful. It is about the love from parents to their kids. Finally, I would like to talk the song which is very famous in recent year, that is Let it go in Frozen. Frozen and Let it go became a phenomenon in 2013. Let It Go had many awards such as  the top five on the Billboard Hot 100 , Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2014 and the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media. This song  was popular in the world such as Vietnam, Japan, China, and Europe.

Tie A Yellow Ribbon round the old oak tree

There are many different kinds of music from pops, ballad, country. One of this, country pop are the most favorite music which I like. There are different country songs such as lemon tree, I’ll still be loving you, Forever and Ever, tie a yellow ribbon round the Ole Oak Tree. The tie a yellow ribbon around the Ole Oak Tree is a meaningful song. It described about the story about a man who was in the prison for 3 years. After that, when he was freedom, he took the bus to come back his home. On the bus, he tell everyone about his love. He said that he sent the letter to his girlfriends to ask about her love for him. If she still wanted him, she would have tied the yellow ribbon on the Old Oak Tree. First, he cannot see anything on two side of the street, he was disappointed. However, everyone looked the hundreds of the yellow ribbons on the old oak tree on street. He was very happy. He did not think that after three years, she still wants him. This song was recorded in 1973 and it became the hit Tony Orlando and Dawn which is famous group in 1970s.

Music plays an important role in our life. More and more, many different game shows appears on the television. It is easy to see that the the Voice, American Idol and X factor from England are the good examples. More and more music talents were discovered. It makes a diversity in the music markets.Many different singer appear such as Kelly Clarkson,Carrie Underwood. On the contrary, many people said that the music shows should be stopped so that the music talents could have time to improve themselves for music. The music shows has been celebrated every years. How can they improve their talents in the short time? Some opinions argued that the game shows should be hold every 2 years because that is the suitable time to raise the music talents. Why the music shows just focus on the modern musics such as pop, ballads, rocks, country? Why we do not have the game shows for the classical music such as piano talents, violin talents? The music game shows just follow the audience’s interest. It lacks the content and meaning in the program. It is time that the producers could realize the change in their program. It should be more good game shows with high standard.

Emotions in music

It’s no doubt that music has played a vital role in our society. It does not matter what culture we are from, everyone loves music, especially love songs. There is nothing better than listening to your favorite type of music after a rough day. Music does not only provide entertainment but also allow emotions of happiness and sadness to arise. There are more and more music has been used in emotional therapy and has remarkable effects. Choosing what type of music to listen in specific situation can bring different result. When people feel heart broken, they tend to choose to listen to sad music, because they can find the sympathy in the melody and lyrics of the song, which make them feel like they are not alone, and there is someone out there understanding what they’ve been through.When people are happy, they could choose the happy song. Therefore, there are a lot of songs in different topics such as wedding, football, dancing. For example, the wedding songs are very popular in the wedding ceremony such as ” In my life”, ” my love’,” let’s stay together”,”that’s how strong my love is”. The football songs ” la la la”, ” we are one”,”Wavin Flag”.

What is love in music?

Love is a hot topic which many composer has emotion to write a song. There are many kinds of songs which mention about love. When we are happy, we have the happy song, when we broke up with the heartbreak, we have the songs in depression. The songs reveal our soul, they tell us everything like our emotions. It brings to us many different sympathy. The rose is the love song which I really like. The rose was sang by  Bette Midler in The rose (film) in 1979. I love the lyric from the song.
